As was mentioned earlier, the more the feces remains in the colon, the more it poisons the body as the blood stream must come in continuous contact with the colon. Furthermore, as the colon remains unclean, the foods in the stomach remain undigested or hard to assimilate, which explains why some people who apparently might be skinny, still can consume loads of food. All of these considered, it is plain to see why fruits, some roots and mostly raw green leaf vegetables which serve as nutrient giving items and intestinal brooms, form the basis of a healthy diet. It is important to know that healing properties, not the calories as most diet fads state is the main factor for choosing a diet and avoiding chronic constipation. The stomach is the central organ of disease matter supply. There is a limit to its ability to digest and to empty itself after the meal especially with a clogged up colon. It is the bane of a person’s existence. Everybody gets it; everybody hates it. And once you have it, prepare to be tormented, embarrassed and humiliated. Such a small bump, so much at stake. So what is this little bundle of horror? What else but the dreaded pimple! A pimple, or acne as some people calls it, is a dreaded red, swollen bump in the face. Nobody is spared from having it. Male or female, American, Chinese or Puerto Rican, they all have gotten it at some points of their lives and may even still have it. It is like a universal language; it is like a right of passage in a person’s life.

Acne is a result of the hormones action on the skin's oil glands (the sebaceous gland) which leads to clogged pores and outbreak of lesions like pimples, blemishes or acne. Acne commonly occurs in the neck, face, back, shoulders and chest because the sebaceous glands are most abundant in these locations. But the important question we should be asking to be able to avoid this dreaded “disease” is, “What causes this pain in the neck called acne?” Unfortunately, the causes of acne cannot really be determined (unless your parents or their parents are acne infested too then there’s a big, big chance you’ll be called acne face by your peers and classmates) thus the acne myths are born! These myths claim to be the cause of acne. We shall enumerate them here. Acne Myth Number 1 Acne is caused by not washing your face often and not scrubbing it hard enough. Many believed that acne is caused by dirt and dust in the face and by washing your face two-three even four times a day or even by scrubbing your face hard can prevent acne. Wrong, wrong, wrong! It is true that dirt and dust is unsightly to the face and washing the face is the way to eradicate them but washing often can actually irritate the skin more. Washing should not be done more than twice a day. More than twice is enough to strip the face of its natural oils making it dry. Also, scrubbing can cause inflammations. Washing the face should be done as gently as possible with the gentlest facial scrub. Acne Myth Number 2 Improper Diet can cause acne. Certain foods that are oily like French fries and junk food can cause acne to erupt in our face. But scientific studies have not discovered any connection between these two. So this means that food does not cause acne. Though a proper and healthy diet is always good for our system, eating like a pig won’t make pimples a permanent resident in your face. So feel free to eat your favorite Lay’s, French fries and chocolates anytime. Acne Myth Number 3 When you’re stressed acne tends to pop on your face like popcorn pops from a kernel. Not true. Stress is a part of our daily lives and believe it or not it is not a contributing factor to the acne residing in your face. Only severe stress treated by the doctor MAY cause acne to erupt only as a side effect of the drugs a person may be taking. If this is the case, consult your doctor immediately.

In large part, you’re in control of your health, not your doctor. And taking control of your health doesn’t really depend on whether or not you have medical conditions. Now, take the time to decide what your health goals for the next year will be. Write the goal(s) down. Some examples of goals might be: - to stop yo-yo dieting and focus on get healthier. - to start exercising regularly. - to move toward my perfect weight. - to find alternative ways to control diabetes. Then list specific ways you can accomplish these goals. For instance, try a new healthy dinner recipe once a week, go to the gym five days a week, or research nutrition on the Internet 10 minutes a day. Work on your mind and thought patterns. You have to believe that you can become healthy and reach your ideal weight before you will be able to do so. Learning to accept what you can’t change, but striving to change what you can, is key. A large part of succeeding in health improvement is being comfortable with yourself to begin with. Find time to do something good to reward yourself for making this commitment to improve your health. Reward yourself each week as you find yourself accomplishing your goals. If you have another person to work with, you will be more successful in meeting your health goals. This partner should be someone you can trust to share your feelings with. It helps to have a partner for accountability. We work harder when we know someone is watching us and holding us accountable. A good partner also helps us stay realistic in our goals and challenges us to grow. Try to find someone who will encourage you in the down times and celebrate your successes with you as you accomplish your goals. And of course you need to be that kind of a partner to your friend in return. You might consider forming an informal support group with some of your friends or acquaintances. People who belong to a group with mutual interests and a shared purpose accomplish more. A group might get together weekly or monthly and discuss progress or concerns and help encourage each other. Sometimes all a person might need is another opinion or just a little encouragement to help them get past a place where they are having problems. Even if you are doing great, perhaps you could be of help to someone else who is struggling. Communication is important when putting together a group. Set up a regular time and method to report progress to each other and stick to it. Set realistic benchmarks to monitor your progress. Reward yourselves for your effort. Do something fun as a group once in a while. There can be great rewards in working with others toward common goals. It makes the journey more enjoyable as well as more productive.

Research on aromatherapy blends may demand time. Those who have found interest in blending essential oils become engrossed in the blending in the same way as a scientist loses sleep in his discoveries. And, thus they are ready to put in as much time in the blending as required. Study well the aroma profiles of each oil. Take a blotting paper and sprinkle a drop of the essential oil on it. See and feel its effect. Note it down on a piece of paper so that you can refer to it in the future. Undertake a similar activity for numerous oils. In this manner, you will have a complete database ready with you. Similarly, while blending note down the reactions that takes place in the properties of each oil. Any of the following three will happen. An oil will completely lose its property. A property will be enhanced. Alternatively, a completely new property will be discovered in the aromatherapy blend. A true blender is one who knows how to enhance or create the desired effect. This may take time. Sometimes, certain properties will become known all of a sudden; somewhat like French chemist Renй-Maurice Gattefossй who hit upon the medical properties of lavender by accident. You will not become as popular in the field of aromatherapy, but your blends are sure going to earn you a lot of praise ion your friend circle.

Nevertheless, the aromatherapy bottles are different and are more than just packaging. By going through the following section, you too will agree that aromatherapy bottles have a role to play.
